The primary advantage of using bulk send is that you create one document and the system will generate multiple versions of the document so each recipient can receive their own version. Another advantage is that you can upload a list of recipients rather than creating them one at a time.
When using the bulk send feature, you must upload a .CSV file with the list of bulk recipients in order for the system to generate unique documents for each recipient. Upsign provides a sample template for you to fill and upload.
:To access the template and upload recipients, start a bulk send
Navigate to the documents area
Click the Add Document button
Upload the files you want to include in your document
Check the Send in Bulk option
Click Continue. This will load the dialog to upload recipients.
Click Download Import template to download the .csv file to your device
Add recipients to the .CSV file. There are 3 fields available for each recipient.
Name - This is the recipients full name. This is a required field
Email - This is the recipients email, where the email notifications will be sent. This is a required field.
Private message - Any value included in this cell will be included as a private message in the email notification to that specific recipients. This field is optional.
Once you've completed and save the recipient list, navigate to the upload bulk recipients dialog
Click Upload to upload the completed .csv file from your device.
Continue through the document creation process by adding fields, reviewing and sending the document.
Note: After uploading the list of bulk recipients, you can also choose to add other recipients manually, by using the add recipients button. However, recipient added manually will be asked to participate in each document.
This feature is mostly used when you need someone to take action on each document. A common scenario is when you need someone to approve each document before it is sent to the bulk recipient. In this case, you'd add an approver 1st in the routing order. The bulk recipients would come second. When sent, each unique document would go do the approver to approve before sending on to the each bulk recipient.
